The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) collects personal data to process donations, improve our marketing activities, personalize supporter experiences or provide requested goods or services. We may occasionally conduct research and analysis on current or potential high-net-worth donors, either on an anonymous or identifiable basis. This is in order to better understand who our supporters are, so that our fundraising efforts and communications are as relevant and effective as possible and/or to comply with legal obligations and applicable industry standards. This research and analysis may include collecting information about supporters from public sources and/or combining it with other personal data that we hold about them to create a profile.
We promise to make all reasonable efforts to keep your details secure, in compliance with the ICRC Data Protection Regulatory Framework, whose main instrument is the ICRC Rules on Personal Data Protection.
We may share your details with other components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as with suppliers working on our behalf. All your data are stored on a dedicated server in Switzerland. With, and only with, your permission, we will send you updates on the project and on the ICRC’s activities in general.
If you would like more information about the processing of your personal data by the ICRC, or to express any objections or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or refer to our Data Protection Policy.
